The conference discussed imbalances between labour demand and supply in the Western Balkan countries, with special attention to the importance of an analysis based on skills. It addressed the role of key stakeholders in the labour market, with a focus on how to anticipate skills needs, generate new jobs and improve the matching process.

The event, which gathered representatives of relevant ministries, public employment services, and social partners from the region, as well as regional organizations, was co-organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat and Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
