Priority Area 9 at the 3rd EUSDR Annual Forum “We grow together – Together we grow”

10. July 2014in News 0 Likes

The 3rd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region took place on June, 26th-27th at the Vienna City Hall in Austria. More than 1.100 international political and business representatives, as well as civil society representatives from the 14 Danube countries participated in this major event and discussed the further development of the region under the framework “We grow together – Together we grow”.

PA9 participated at the Forum and contributed to the event, both through active participation in the programme (i.e. Plenary Session 2 introduced by Austrian Federal Minister Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek of the Ministry of Education and Women’s Affairs) and the organisation of workshops (“Investing in Inclusive and Innovative Education and Training for Better Socioeconomic Outcomes” and “Empowerment for an Inclusive Market”). The workshop on education and training was structured around three panels on “Cooperation platforms and networking”, on “Improving the quality and attractiveness of VET” and on “Transversal key competences, active citizenship and innovative learning environments” and provided space for strategic considerations, reports from good practice projects and ideas for future actions.

Finally, PA9 was strongly represented within the Danube Cosmos through several presentations and Speakers’ Corner such as EUSDR pilot project Empowering Young People – Connecting Europe, i.e. SMART, CEEPUS etc.
