The first Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, organised in cooperation between the Government of Bavaria and the European Commission, took place from 27-28 November 2012 in Regensburg (Bavaria), Germany.
The Annual Forum was the first meeting of its kind and was a good occasion to take stock of the developments since the launch of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region in 2011. Entitled “How can the Danube Region help to have a more competitive Europe”, the conference encouraged a reflection on the potential contribution of the macro-regional perspective to Europe’s growth.
Coordinators of PA9 organised the workshop with the title “Matching Danube Skills to Labour Market Needs.” The workshop dealed with questions of empowerment, smart skills and inclusive growth.
