Objective and Plan
The Danube Change (Donauwandel) initiative was planning to conduct the Danube Learning Journey between March and September 2013. The themes of the project were sustainable development, Eco-Social Innovation and Eco-Social Entrepreneurship. The objectives were to build a bottom up network of people and organizations who like to support personal development of the people and sustainable development of the Danube Region and the EUSDR (European Union Strategy for Danube Region) by connecting people, promoting non-formal learning, developing skills and knowledge and creating and implementing innovative approaches for the sustainable development of the region. An important objective was also to plan concepts and activities for the period 2014 – 2020.
The Danube Learning Journey intended to conduct 2 day long core events with accompanying site visits and workshops in each of the Danube River Basin countries. Initiatives and projects can be presented. Networking, inspiration, learning and supporting each other should take place and as a result co-development between the initiatives should start.
